September means… the Newark Film Festival The 8th Annual Newark Film Festival opens on Thursday, September 6 and goes through Thursday, September 13 with a week filled with original films. This year a new feature has been added… Music!!

    The annual community event, formerly known as “Newark Nite,” that hosts 30,000 people becomes a daytime celebration this year on Saturday, June 2 from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.  The rain date is Sunday, June 3 from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Spring Concert Series
Enjoy the fabulous music of local musicians as the City of Newark Parks and Recreation Department, once again hosts, the Spring Concert Series.  Concerts will be held Thursday nights 7pm to 8pm during the months of May and June (beginning on May 3 and running through June 21).
